Shipping and delivery

European Doors guarantees competitive pricing, convenient shipping options, and customer-friendly policies to deliver the best service experience. We strive to accurately calculate your order’s shipping costs before purchase. However, in cases where precise calculation is not possible, we commit to notifying you of any additional shipping or handling fees.

If informed of extra charges, you retain the right to modify or cancel your order and receive a full refund. Orders are shipped Monday through Friday to the 45 contiguous United States. To ensure your order arrives in perfect condition, all doors are securely packaged using a specially designed crating system.

Address restrictions

Currently, we do not ship orders to military APO/FPO addresses or P.O. boxes. Please provide a valid physical address during the checkout process.

ADDRESS RESTRICTIONS

Please be aware that the rates listed below apply to ground shipping via common carrier and include services such as residential delivery, delivery appointment, liftgate, and pallet jack service.

Note that we do not currently ship to Alaska and Hawaii.

Please note:

  1. Insurance Coverage: Shipments are insured by the shipping carrier.
  2. Changes to Delivery Details: If there are any changes to the delivery date or address, the buyer must provide updated information in writing and contact our office by phone within 24 hours of placing the order.
  3. Pre-Hung Orders: For pre-hung orders (excluding single door units), the door frame will be shipped disassembled to prevent damage. Assembly requires only a screwdriver and screws; all other necessary parts are included.
  4. Curbside Delivery: This service delivers your item to the curb at the end of your driveway. Please note that we do not offer placement of the shipment on the driveway, sidewalk, or inside the house, nor do we provide package removal services.

Shipping and order confirmations

After placing your order, you will receive an initial email confirming that your order has been successfully received. You will then receive a second email once your order has been shipped. If your order requires multiple shipments, you will receive additional email confirmations for each one. Please keep these emails (which serve as invoices) for your records.

Shipping*

Once an order is processed, it is dispatched via LTL (Less Than Truckload) for larger items or standard carriers for smaller ones. LTL shipments are delivered curbside unless alternative arrangements are made at the customer’s expense. Delivery times vary based on the final destination, typically averaging 2-4 business days for the East Coast and 5-7 business days for the West Coast. For orders outside the contiguous United States, please contact Door Design Lab directly.

Will Call Service

The buyer has the option to collect their order personally. Please contact us in advance to schedule a pickup time at the warehouse. Any shipping charges will be refunded, and you will receive an email with instructions and the designated pickup date.

Please note that door purchases cannot be made on-site, as the warehouse does not offer retail services. All orders must be processed in advance.

Shipping Time

This timeframe encompasses the duration from when the order departs the warehouse until it reaches your selected location.

Please note:

Upon delivery, it is recommended that the buyer inspect the order for any shortages or damage while the driver is still present. If damage occurs during delivery, the buyer must follow these instructions:

  1. Document the Damage: Take photos of the damaged package and all visible damage as you unpack it.
  2. Record on Freight Bill: Describe all damages and shortages on the freight bill.
  3. Inspect Thoroughly: Accept the doors, unpack them, and inspect each item for any additional visible damage.
  4. Report Damages: Take photos of all damages and send a detailed report of all damages to Door Design Lab within 48 hours.
  5. Response Timeline: You will receive a response from your sales representative within 48 hours.

European Doors handles shipping payments directly. The buyer is not required to pay any fees to the carrier company or its representatives during delivery or at any other time, unless they choose to do so at their own expense. European Doors will not reimburse any such payments made by the buyer.

Order policy

We accept orders through various channels, including by phone, fax, email, via a Door Design Lab Sales Representative, or directly through our website.

Standard processing time will be:

  • Stock Program: Delivery time is 7–14 business days, plus shipping from the Belldinni warehouse.
  • Custom Orders (Special Orders): Production takes 14–16 weeks (12 weeks with air expedited shipping), followed by shipping from the Belldinni warehouse.
  • Individually Designed Orders: The timeframe is to be determined (TBD).

Please note:

If the delivery address is incorrect or inaccessible, the buyer agrees to cover the full purchase price as well as any additional delivery charges. It is essential to ensure that the order is received at the agreed delivery address. Door Design Lab is not liable for any damage if the order is collected from a freight company’s service center or any location other than the agreed address.

Carefully inspect your order upon delivery. Door Design Lab is not responsible for damages that are not noted on the carrier company’s documentation. As a buyer, you are required to open the boxes and examine their contents, as the driver will not uncrate or unpack the order for you.

Once the door unit has been installed, claims for shortages or damages cannot be made. The installation of the door is considered acceptance of the order by the buyer.
